eFaxing is a simple process, but one that might take getting used to. First, all eFaxes must use the email? address provided by FSP Realty. You will not be able to use your personal email address with this eFax system. This is to prevent bad actors from using this system. Obviously, the employee will want to keep their long and complex password from other people to having it. All emails (including eFaxes) are property of FSP Realty, and using it for personal reason is forbidden.
The employee will open an email message. The email address will be the ITU-Telephone-Number@fax.fsp.homes. You will omit the +, and therefore all US fax calls must begin with the number 1. To make fax call to the UK, you would start with 44. The subject of the email will be the subject on the cover sheet. The body of the email will be the text printed on the cover sheet. The employee will then attach a .pdf file to the email. Once done, it is sent off. The email will go to an email server that supports catch-all systems. The eFax server will collect the email, read the To to know where to send the fax. It will then look at the from. If it is a building manager, it will display that building’s telephone number as the fax. This means the manager from the Tower will show the fax number for the Tower as the CID for the fax. The fax will then be sent, and an email will reply notifying the writer of the status of the fax. If it was a failed fax, there will be a reason of why, and the employee can decide to send it again.
