The sidewalk may not sound like it warrants a dedicated page, but there is one nonetheless. The sidewalk will have a couple of features that would make life easier for a visitor, tenant, or passerby. This is different from either the asphalt or concrete streets.
The more functional thing to note about is the snowmelt feature of the sidewalk. All sidewalks, and driveways for the apartments will have inground tubes with a mixture of water and anti-freeze warmed to 54°F (12°C) when the temperature drops below freezing, and there is expected precipitation. This will melt the snow before it has a chance of sticking to the sidewalk keeping the sidewalks clean of snow and ice without the need to shovel the sidewalk. This will also make the building safer, and will reduce building insurance since the chance of anyone slipping and falling will be little to none. If the system is not working for any reason what so ever maintenance will go out with a snow blower, and the snow will be blown to the apartment building, and not the street. This is to be a good neighbor to the community.
The sidewalk will have some information stamped into the sidewalk. This will include the building name, address, telephone number, and URL?. This will allow the sidewalk to provide much if not all of the information that the passerby will need. Every building will have a unique name, and a unique URL.
