The building would have been built with 0 VOCs. VOCs has been known to cause health problems. While the building was built with no VOCs, this does not mean that the furniture by the tenant does not have VOCs. For those items with VOCs, the Air Renew Drywall will trap some or all VOCs emitted into the air of the residence. I would imagine disturbing the drywall will release some of the captured VOCs. I don’t know the science behind this drywall, but the tenant shouldn’t be busting walls in the apartment.
