Each tenant will be provided with an NFC RFID card. This card will have their name, and the fact they live in an FSP Realty apartment. However, there is nothing else beyond that. The card will be able to be used if the tenant has a parking leases within the connected APS, or as a laundry card if they are unbanked. They will need to add funds to the laundry card through a machine in the laundry room. The digital key is intended to make things easier, especially if the tenant does not have a compatible phone. Replacing the key card will cost $50 which is still cheaper than replacing the locks on your apartment door, and mailbox and have to worry about people being able to go beyond the foyer.
Your photo ID card must show your apartment number, and the building for your key card to be able to change. You can’t expect the manager to know everyone. Once you become the administrator of your apartment, you can set additional keys such as your phone, or if you would be like me, get an RFID tag inserted into your hand so you would never lose the card.
