Unless I am talking about towers, the internet will be responsibility of the tenant. When I mentioned towers, I will consider anything with more than 25 floors in the building. Low rise and houses converted into apartments will require the tenant to pay for their rent. The building (and site office) will have an internet connection, but this will be intended for the office, and the building. For example, the building will know when the temperature drops below freezing, and there will be precipitation. If those two conditions are correct, then the Snow Melt system will have to turn on. It needs the internet for this. Also, revoking digital keys will also need the internet while it would talk with the main server in the realty office.
I would imagine with most buildings, the tenant will pay Internet for themselves. If their cellular phone meets their needs, then great. However, I will look for places that would have Verizon FiOS? Internet, and Xfinity cable internet. In a matter of fact, Xfinity has a 75MBPS connection for those that are low income, and qualify for certain programs. This might be worth more to the tenant than Verizon.
