There will be Grid connected Nest Smoke detectors in every room, and hallways. There will also be a sprinkler system in the areas noted. The smoke detector is intended to warn people of fire so they can evacuate the building as quickly as possible while calling emergency services for a firetruck. The sprinkler system is designed to hopefully douse the fire from spreading to other rooms, and areas. If for some reason, there is no electricity in the residence, the smoke detectors that are gid connected will also have a 10 year battery to assure that it is always properly functioning. A power outage will not fail the system.
