Places like soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and the United Way will be talked with about letting them know about my SROs, and for those that need more help – my subsidized SRO program. The goal is to help as many people as I can with getting as many people off the streets as possible. While an SRO is not ideal, it is good enough to have a safe, and warm place. It keeps the person out of the elements, and allow them the person to have an actual street address.
I will work with the various non-profits to provide them with the resources they can give to those that call. While I will like to help everyone that would be in shelters, and on the streets, I don’t think I could help everyone. Simply put, I don’t have enough SROs, but if I can help a small population, I am doing my part.
