Gas is used for one thing, and that is to power the apartments when there is an electricity grid failure. When the electricity goes down, the batteries will detect that the grid is down, and will power the gas generator for providing electricity. This is not ideal for a permanent solution, and I will receive an SMS? message when electricity goes out, and comes back on. This is important to me as I provide for electricity, including the electricity produced by a gas generator.
