In each apartment, there is a laundry closet (except SRO?s) with a stacking single load machines. The bottom machine is the washer, and top is the dryer. However, in the basement, there will at least be 5 double load washers, and 5 double load dryers. Each single load machine is $2.50 per load, and the double load machines is $4.00 per load. All charges will be totaled, and charged as one charge which is good if you are charged a per transaction fee.
In addition, in the center of the halls for the SROs will have additional single load pairs. This will make it easier for the tenant rather than going to the basement. The only difference is the number of machines, and the fact there is no seating. There will be 3 pairs of single load machines. If they need double load machines, they can go to the basement to use the machines down there. The tenants are still responsible in managing their laundry through the machines.
