Communications Policy

You are required to have a telephone number that you will answer from. This means a voicemail number, or pager will not work. Verizon no longer provides support for their POTS? services to new, or moving customers. Before the move, you would want to move your POTS phone number to a SIP?, VOIP?, or cellular carrier. Telephone calls will be done when something is urgent, or needs your immediate attention. If we receive your voicemail, then we will state the nature of the call, and if necessary ask you call back.

If you wish to be able to allow visitors in from the public foyer, then you would need to provide a telephone number for the system to ring a phone to. This could be a cellular or landline telephone line. To allow the visitor in, you would select the * key (next to zero). If you wish to allow visitors in remotely, but do not wish to be on the directory which will be in the public foyer, then you would want to request that. The directory will display the last name, first initial and the unit number. For example John Doe living in 701 will have the following in the directory:
Doe, J: 0701

The preceding 0 is to provide a 4 digit number for dialing which makes the server happy. If you don’t want to be in the listing, you would want to notify management, and give 31 days to see the changes to take effect. If you do not wish to receive intercom calls to your cellular phone line, then you will need to provide a home phone. This could be cheap if you know where to look. You would obviously need an actual home phone, and possibly an ATA?. This will take 24 hours to change, and since actual telephone numbers are not being disclosed, the directory will not change unless you wished to be removed from the directory

Email? will also be required. This will allow FSP Realty to send you updates, and any notices that would be required. Also, if you asked for a copy of a document, it will be emailed to you as an attachment. The building’s email address will be the sender of the email Living in FSP Tower will show tower@fsp.homes as the email address. In addition, if you are on the wait list, you would receive an email from the building’s email address that you are next in queue.

With that in mind, it is imperative that you keep both your email address, and telephone number up to date. Otherwise, you would not be able to receive the communications you would need to renew your lease, or other important communications. You can provide multiple telephone numbers. If you do, then you would want to note what type of telephone number this is (such as cellular, fax, home, voicemail).
